SOUND HEALING

Sound healing is an ancient tradition which uses a variety of instruments to create therapeutic sounds and vibrations producing frequencies that can help align and balance our minds and bodies. Studies suggest that sound baths have been known to reduce stress and anxiety promoting a sense of calm and well-being.

What is sound healing

Everything vibrates and moves, from the entire universe to the smallest molecule, everything is energy and has its own vibrational frequency.

The human body wants to be healthy and wants to be in harmony. In order for our physical body to be in harmony with itself, it must first be in harmony at a cellular level and at a molecular and atomic level. At this quantum level of physics everything is comprised of energy and vibrating energy fields.

Sound healing therapy uses sound vibrations to maintain or improve physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. The vibrations help to clear energy blockages resulting in a harmonious flow of energy in the body. Sound healing encourages the brain to move into Theta brainwave frequencies which is our natural healing frequency, additionally it creates a balance between the two hemispheres of the brain improving our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.

My group sound healing sessions are designed to promote a deep sense of relaxation. Using several instruments including Tibetan singing bowls, drum, crystal bowls and gong the music and sound vibrations help the body and mind come back to its natural state of wellbeing. This promotes relaxation and impedes the stress response in our bodies.

I also offer one to one sessions for more specific intentions.

What to expect

Sound baths offer a powerful way to relax and restore your inner well-being. The combination of therapeutic sounds and vibrations can help reduce stress and promote a deep state of relaxation.

During a sound bath you will lie down (yoga mats provided) in a comfortable position closing your eyes and allowing the healing sounds to wash over and immerse you. The vibrations of the music can penetrate our cells promoting deep relaxation.

I will use a variety of instruments during our sound healing sessions including gong, drum, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls and chimes creating a series of healing sounds and vibrations.

During the session it is not uncommon to experience a range of sensations or a release of emotions in addition to a deep sense of relaxation. It’s important to allow yourself to experience anything that arises and breath through it without judgment.

Our sound baths last approximately one hour and I will be available to answer any questions before and after the session.

When attending a sound healing session you should dress in loose and comfortable clothes and drink plenty of water before and after your session.

Mats, pillows and blankets will be provided for your comfort, but you can bring your own if you wish to do so.

While sound bath meditation is safe for most people, there are a few circumstances where caution is advised. People with sound sensitivity or certain neurological conditions may find the intensity of the sounds overwhelming. Those with severe mental health issues should consult with a healthcare provider, as the profound experiences within a sound bath might trigger unexpected reactions. Pregnant women are generally able to participate in sound baths, but it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider, especially in cases of high-risk pregnancies. Sound healing sessions can affect pacemakers, so people with pacemakers should consult their healthcare provider before attending
